As the marketplace changes and margins get squeezed, reprographers are looking for ways to capture these services while maintaining high levels of service and be able to reach their profit objectives.
As a follow up to the IRgA’s “Charging for Digital Services” document, along with presentations from past IRgA Annual Conventions, the Digital Services Committee presents Digital Services and the Reprographer.
With this member-only guide, the IRgA hopes to continue to refine our language and best practices for digital services into coherent and profitable solutions for our industry. READ MORE...  Read More... |

IRgA’s Latest Webinar Now Archived Online
|
|
The IRgA hosted its latest Webinar — “Sales Management by Metrics” — Wednesday, July 9. David M. Fellman, president of David Fellman & Associates, led the session, which was sponsored by the Southeastern Reprographic Association.
Below are what the participants had to say about the session:
“Good information on setting goals or quotas from the salesperson individual earning desires. It would be helpful with a seminar like this to provide a series of 3-5 that allow more time to dig a little deeper into certain areas,” says Graham Johnson, Duncan-Parnell Inc.
“This was an excellent presentation. You should have him again on a different area of Sales Conference,” says Chuck McCann, Springfield Blue Print Co.
All Webinars are available free for IRgA members at www.IRgA.com. The archive is in the members-only section. To access the sessions, follow the Webinar link under the Publications & Education navigation tab. If you are not a current IRgA member company, join or renew your membership so you can access online education.
Currently, the next Webinar is tentatively schedule for Oct. 8. READ MORE...  Read More... |

Flatbed Printers: 10 Ways to Make Money
Wide-format, flatbed inkjet printers have a lot of advantages compared to traditional inkjets. They can print on rigid substrates, sometimes as thick as 3 inches. Most of them use UV curable inks that dry instantly and last for years outdoors. And they’re blazing fast.
Another advantage is price. Because the images don’t need to be mounted or laminated, the projects done on them are less expensive than jobs done on traditional digital color printers. This means the shop using a flatbed can sell the work for less than the local signmaker.
This article originally appeared in the July/August issue of Repro Report, which is available for download at the IRgA Web site. READ MORE...  Read More... |
